Baby Got Bike

This weekend we are headed to THREE birthday parties.  It embarrasses me that my three year old has a more active social life than I do, but hey what can I do?   Because presents are a necessity of birthday parties, I headed out to our nearest Toys R’ Us to find some ultimate gifts for the toddlers who seemingly have everything.  I strolled up and down the aisles looking for something spectacular when the YBike ($79) caught my eye.  In my opinion, the YBike is truly a wheeled wonder.  Why?  Well, first of all it is very well made and appears to be durable enough to make it through all ten of the kids my girlfriend hopes to have one day.  Second, it is a wide-bodied push bike that has thick wheels to help any semi-coordinated tot balance upright – first walking, then scooting, and finally zipping forward!  (I especially like the fact that the front wheel is placed forward enough to keep it from toppling when making a tight turn.)  Finally and most important for those concerned about fashion, the YBike (developed in South Africa)  is super stylish and comes in a wide array of colors: green, blue, pink and orange.  Oh, and one more thing – the YBike was recently awarded the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Seal Award.  Need I say more?  Go get one, your kid will thank you.
